As the Jordan River has lost water flow over the years, the border between Israel and Jordan has become closer and closer. You can almost jump over the river to get to the other country these days (although, don't advise it with all the security guards around.)
At the Movenpick Dead Sea, visitors are greeted by this guy serving up big glasses of fresh lemon drink from a clever brass contraption. Kind of fun.
