Many years ago, a group of Buddhist monks trained cats to jump through at their monastery at Inle Lake. Word got out and the place became somewhat of a novelty. The senior monks decided this was not what the monks should be devoting their time towards, so they stopped training the cats. However, some local villagers picked up the pieces and continue to show cat jumping shows in the monastery, affectionately known as Jumping Cat Monastery, today. © www.uncorneredmarket.com
