Nong Khiaw is located on the Nam Ou river in a hilly and mountainous region. It's a beautiful part of Laos.
While walking along the road from Nong Khiaw to the caves, we spotted a couple of ponds full of water lillies. It looked like this had been a picnic or restaurant area at one point, but it had been deserted except for a little hut.
