Bolivia Election Rally, Tupiza
A photo essay of a Bolivian election rally for president Evo Morales.
So there we were: stuck in dusty little Tupiza in southern Bolivia. Our tour of the salt flats was over and it was time to move onto Tarija. But our bus didn't leave until 8:30PM.
What to do?
Head to the rally for Evo Morales, Bolivia's current president seeking a second term.
We noticed a concentration of older women. People were bussed in; flags and pamphlets were handed out (being fought over, more like). And a long-winded emcee took one hour to wind up the crowd.
