The Pinnacles of Western Australia. Like staring at a Dali painting. Mysterious limestone formations. Speculation runs between "remnants of ancient petrified vegetation" and "an over abundance of nutrients delivered to plant root systems at the surface." This is to say, we don't know. To not know is OK. And this happens a lot in this part of the world, once part of Gondwana, an even greater ancient continent that included modern day Africa and Antarctica. via Instagram http://ift.tt/1Wn5tMv

Where's Audrey? The sand dunes of Nambung National Park, just south of Cervantes, Western Australia en route to the town of Lancelin. "Maybe I should pull over. I want to check these dunes out." So glad we did, just by chance. Parked the camper van, walked a bit. And the earth opened white and wide. Incredible. Some of the world's softest sand, clean and bright, drifting in Mother Nature's artful ways. This area may not be much on tourist maps, but it was one of my favorite spots among many from our past several days along the Indian Ocean Drive and the Western Australia coast. via Instagram http://ift.tt/20IQJcg
