Favorite doorway candidate #27. Storied, stately, dilapidated. Found while cycling Brandenburg, in the town of Schönwalde.
A pleasant cycle north of Berlin takes us to the wee village of Schönerlinde. The neat Late Gothic facade of its church belies stories of a turbulent past (the usual fires, failed crop years, wars, and empire turnover).
A view from our dinner table. It never rained, the sky just remained on fire until the sun disappeared. Berlin late summer eve.
