The Little Mermaid Statue - Copenhagen, Denmark
This famous statue is the character from the fairy tale of "The Little Mermaid" (btw, if you read the original by Hans Christian Anderson, it ends a little differently than Disney's version). The statue has been beheaded twice, her arm has been sawed off, she's been covered in red and green paint, and even has worn a burka on one occasion. Most of the time though, she sits in the harbor watching tourists circle around her trying to get the best photograph.
