Taking a break from walking around Bhaktapur, Nepal to be still and learn something from these women.
The caretaker of the Tibetan Buddhist gompa (temple) in Upper Pisang lets us in for a look around in the late afternoon. The gompa's interior is beautifully painted with tantric Buddhist paintings. This gompa becomes even more impressive when we learned that it was a work of community cooperation, built with the labor (54 days per person) and contributions of the village.
