No, we're not at the top yet...but getting closer. We departed high camp at 5 AM to catch the early light on the mountains on the way up to Thorong La (5,416 meters/17,700 feet). The clouds began to clear at this natural view, about 2/3 of the way to the pass. Taken on day 10 of our trek around the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. On a high after making it to Thorong La Pass (5,461 meters), the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit trek in Nepal. It took ten days of walking to get to this point. Our joy was short lived, as the wind whipped up, the clouds rolled in, and an afternoon descent of 1600 meters to the town of Muktinath awaited.
