Sary Tash is the last main village in Kyrgyzstan before the road forks. One road leads to Tajikistan (our route) while the other road heads over the Irkeshtam Pass to China (Kashgar). Just before sunset, we took a walk around the village. Although it was beautiful, it was bitterly cold; the wind made easy work of our many layers. Read more about our adventures in the Pamirs.
