The sun sets over Shwedagon Paya (holy monument), one of Burma's (Myanmar's) most holy Buddhist temples. The main stupa (zedi) supposedly features 53 tonnes of gold leaf and a spire encrusted with over 5,000 diamonds and 2,000 other precious stones. Mighty rich for a Buddhist temple. Taken in Rangoon (Yangon).
