Storm front -- Silver Beach, Virginia. Eastern Shore / Chesapeake Bay. The site of what was supposed to be our evening picnic. If we laid down a tablecloth and veggies, they would have been carried to the sky. Everyone — photographers, videographers, and we — were thrilled though. The light was wild and electric, bolts rained down in the distance, the wind whipped up, and the sky changed lustrous and earthen colors. This was not your average storm. So we ran up and down the beach and took it all in. The object in the distance is actually a working lighthouse, the Rappahannock Shoal Channel South Range Rear. Kinda’ necessary during storms like these.
